The Ballarat Courier is a daily newspaper circulating in the Ballarat region of regional Victoria. Its editor is Angela Carey. The newspaper is owned by Fairfax Media.

The courier began in 1855 as "The Star", published three times a week. In 1865, it was renamed the "Ballarat Star" before becoming the "Ballarat Courier". The paper changed to a daily format in 1867 as the "Ballarat courier and district mining and general reporter" before being renamed to "The Ballarat Courier" from 1869 and finally being shortened to "The Courier" in 1944.
